About Jenny MacDonald

Jenny MacDonald recently signed with Vancouver-Based HMP Recording and Development.

A dynamic singer/songwriter, she has worked alongside some great Nova Scotian musicians, including Steve MacDougall, The Hupman Brothers, Ian Sherwood, Carleton Stone and Grammy Award winner Gordie Sampson.

 Known as “The small girl with the big voice”, MacDonald has been described as an “old soul in a young body’” by multiple Nova Scotia Music Award winner Stephen Cook (Media Professional of the Year). MacDonald is herself a two-time Nova Scotia Music Awards nominee. Her Nova Scotia Music Award nominations were for 2011 Digital Artist of the Year and 2011 Blues Album of the Year for ‘Bye Bye Mr. Bluesman’.

MacDonald has three releases: ‘Jenny Kissed Me’ (2008), ‘Live at CFXU’ – EP (2009) and ‘Bye Bye Mr. Bluesman’ (2011).
