HPX ’13 featured artist: The Almighty Rhombus

The Almighty Rhombus is a 5 piece pop band from Sudbury, Ontario featuring Mike Kenny (Guitar/lead vox),  Clayton Drake (Keys/vox), Neil Bednis (Bass), Carter Drake (Drums/vox) and Cameron Drake (Guitar/vox).  They released their self-titled EP in 2012, are set to release their full-length LP “Lucid Living” on October 29th. 

The Almighty Rhombus play four shows during Halifax Pop Explosion:
Oct 23 @ Dalhousie University Student Union Building *6126 University Ave.) – 1:30pm
Oct 25 @ CD Heaven (118 Wyse Rd) – 12:30pm (AB Goes To Heaven)
Oct 25 @ Hell’s Kitchen (2037 Gottingen Street) – 9:45pm
Oct 26 @ Rock Bottom Brewpub – 2:00pm (The AB Mid-Day Soiree)

With The Almighty Rhombus, you can expect to hear music drawing from the smooth doo-wop 1940s, to the rock and roll of the 50s, to the psychedelia and gritty garage of the 60s, to the prog, punk and arena rock of the 70s, the shiny new-wave 80s, the powerpop of the 90s, and the garage resurgence of the early 2000s.
