The Bombadils are a Celtic/bluegrass group based out of Montreal. Dan MacCormack (Grassmarket) is a multi-instrumentalist who is getting ready to unleash his debut solo project in the fall. Together, they will light up the stage at The Carleton on Tuesday, June 10th.

The Bombadils are a four-piece celtic/bluegrass band that first united in at McGill University in Montreal. Band members Sarah Frank (fiddle), Luke Fraser (guitar), Alan Mackie (bass), and Anh Phung (flute), were raised Canada-wide and trained in classical performance and modern improvisation.
The Bombadils have been playing concert halls and Irish pubs around the world since 2009 and released their debut album Fill Your Boots in 2012. They are now ready bring their high spirits and energy to The Carleton in Halifax.
Dan MacCormack’s debut album, Symphony of Ghosts: Songs Inspired by the Novels of David Adams Richards is set for release in the fall of 2014.
I have been following MacCormack’s career for over a decade and am constantly amazed by the depth of talent he possesses. I recommend you get out to see him play at the earliest opportunity (how about Tuesday at The Carleton).
