On Saturday, June 24th, Nova Scotia Country Artist, Andrew Frelick, plays live in the Concert Hall at CIOE 97.5 FM.  This promises to be a great evening of music and stories. Remember, our concert, Stories and Songs with Andrew Frelick is happening Saturday, June 24 here at the concert hall at 97.5 Community Radio!

This show is a fundraiser for CIOE-FM.

Tickets are available in advance at CIOE (11 Glendale Avenue, Lower Sackville), on-line www.communityradio.ca or reserve by phone at 902-252-7975.   Tickets can also be purchased  at the door the night of the event.

About CIOE 97.5 FM

CIOE-97.5FM is a not-for-profit radio station operated by the Cobequid Radio Society (CRS) whose board of directors reflect a diversity of backgrounds and are representative of communities across the region that we serve. Day to day operation of the station is managed by CIOE’s Management team.

97.5FM’s primary mission is to deliver a top quality broadcast service whose inclusive community driven spoken word initiatives, special music based programs, and eclectic hybrid music format, is dedicated to informing, educating, stimulating, and entertaining listeners of all ages – providing small business with an affordable, cost efficient alternative advertising vehicle – and promoting and exposing the talents of East Coast Artists throughout Atlantic Canada, nationally, and beyond.

CRS, incorporated under Nova Scotia’s Societies Act has developed from its humble beginning, into a dynamic full-service broadcast operation. Formally launched in May of 2015, CIOE has experienced incredible growth in its programing service and has truly become both The Voice of Your Community and The Voice of East Coast Music across Atlantic Canada and beyond.

CIOE currently produces 68 original programs per week involving over 90 hours of production by its community volunteers which is unique in the marketplace. In keeping with its commitment to local talent, 97.5 promotes and exposes some 40 hours per week of world class music drawn from the rich treasury of East Coast Music and its artistry. With its eclectic mix of spoken word initiatives and special award winning music from across all musical genres, CIOE offers a diversity of programming and listener choice that will not be heard on any other station within HRM’s radio spectrum.

About Andrew Frelick

Dynamic and determined are just two words that can best describe country artist, Andrew Frelick!

Born in Halifax, NS and having grown up in the nearby town of Bridgewater, Andrew has rapidly built momentum after showcase performances during the 2015 CMA & CCMA festival weeks.

Additionally, multiple award nominations in 2016, including Music Nova Scotia’s “Country Recording of the Year”, and wins at The Josie Music Awards in Nashville, including “Modern Country Song of the Year” & “Charting Artist of the Year”, have helped Frelick in being recognized as one of Canada’s emerging country talents!

The release of Nashville recorded EP’s “Time Stands Still” & “When I Was Little” both fuelled Frelick’s growth as a country artist, and added to his credibility as a proficient songwriter with co-writes on the majority of both recordings. He continues to support both projects through radio releases, interviews, and live performances. Performances that have included the 2015 & 2016 Josie Music Awards (Country Blast Radio) in Nashville, TN, opening shows for country stars such as Corb Lund and Carroll Baker, as well as headlining multiple fairs, festivals, exhibitions and events.
